The author seems to be setting up the story line for another series based on what's happening and some of the things the paragon has alluded to. Towards the end there was some mention of a villain but it was so vague that I doubt they're going to feature in this series. This book features her trying to fit in among the other monarchs. I enjoyed the first book with Leila trying to fit in as queen amongst her subjects.
I say that because this book was almost the same repeat as the first book with some minute differences. It bothered me in book 1 and it continued to bother me in CROWN OF MOONLIGHT. how the heck do you pronounce Lord Rigel's name? Seriously, HOW?! Is it pronounced RYE-GEL or RIG-GEL? Someone please tell me. I'd say my main gripe with this book - and the series as a whole - is pretty inconsequential, but still really irks me nonetheless. are freaking fantastic, and I loved seeing Leila use her ingenuity, hilarious personality, and compassionate nature to solve any and all obstacles. I'm happy to report that Crown of Moonlight was a worthy followup to Crown of Shadows! I was a touch nervous going into book 2 only because of how impressed I was with book 1, luckily my fears were very much unfounded!
